Is there anything special I need to do to machine embroider on Aida cloth? I know it won't look like I have stitched it by hand because the stitches won't line up in perfect little "x's". Has anyone else ever used Aida for machine embroidery?
Thanks, Emm's Mimi

What a neat idea. I would never have thought to embroider on Adia cloth, but I bet it would be pretty. I will have to check out that site that was mentioned and see what I can come up with.
Thanks,
LS

Hi!, I have embroidered on Aida cloth many times. Not on articles that have Aida cloth as part of the article, tho. The best way I have found is: I hoop my Aida cloth with out any stabilizer ( If the Aida cloth is soft then I hoop it with a water solouble stablizer which before framing I rinse it off and let the cloth dry) then stitch away.
I make baby birth dates ( always as if they were adults as you are a adult a whole lot longer then you are a baby) then put the fabric on a foam cross stitch board (non sticky because I stretch it just as you would frame regular cross stitch. If you put a stabilzer on the back I found out the hard way you cannot stretch the Aida cloth I can enlose pic's if any one would like to see. What great gifts that are orginal ,cheap and very well received !
