This is a set that I did for a friend! Her husband is a big baseball fan!

How cute is that?! The ball and bat look like they stitched to perfection! Great idea for fans of all ages (and I am particularly fond of that Cubbie blue and red color combo!)

That is darling! Was it difficult to hoop - or not hoop - the backpack?

I did not hoop any of that!!!! I use stabili stick for the backpack and I simply pin the burpcloth to regular stabilizer!!!! I hate hooping. Some machines don't care for that particular way though! I have a Bernina Deco 330 and it does not do good when I do not actually hoop the product!! I do not use it that often b/ of that reason! I am wanting to get rid of it and get something else!

I figured you probably did not hoop. I have a hard time with hoopless - my fingers get in the way while I tried to hold things out of the way from the needle.

I need to ask a clarifying question. I thought hoopless meant you use the hoop and only put stablizer in it and then stick the fabric to the stabelizer without hooping the fabric.
Can you just stick stabilizer to fabric and slide it under the foot and start sewing????
Okay....I am editing this a couple of days later. I realize this is an INSANE question. how would the fabrick move around to accomodate the design if something weren't in the hoop and it was not attached. Sorry for my lapse...hey I'm new.

I do exactly as you, I hoop my stabilizer and then pin my burp cloth to the stabilizer.

I have a business account from Flying Circle, that is where I got the backpack from! Unfortunately they do not sell this color combination anymore! I was so bummed when I tried to reorder and could not get it!
Luciana, that is a matching burp cloth in white.

It is the Techie font. Monogram Wizard Plus, it is one of the alpha packs they offer.

For those of you who may have seen my above post about hoopless....please not I have revised it and I am thinking better / clearer now.
I was looking on flying circle's website and they have a lot of really neat items. I was thinking of opening an acct with them. Did you have to supply 2 other vendor names and acct numbers when you opened your acct? I have never had to do that before and just wondered if this has always been their policy. Thanks!!

That turned out really well. Too bad the company doesn't make the backpack in those colors anymore.

You could have just blamed it on your evil drunk twin sister who was using your computer you know. :D
This is so cute and the burp cloth could be replaced with a golf/hand towel for guys a little older.

Another thing that I have tried instead of pinning items when using a sitcky stablilizer is using a basting stitch that can be programmed as a separate embroidery design. So I hoop the sticky stabilizer and get the material positioned then 'embroider' a basting stitch square outside the design field and then embroider my design...it helps to keep my fingers out of the way and avoids the possibility that I might put too much pressure on the item and distort the design...did that once! It also protects my machine in the event that the needle hit a pin...I have the worst luck! Can't remember where I got the basting stitch design, but try googling it?

Is the backpack made of vinyl? I was told if I stitched on the plastic ones they would fall apart and my stitching with it?
