Well, right when we thought he was settled in, he's not! He informed me yesterday that he has to go to Afghanistan for at least a month, until they bring another engineer over to take his place. So, that means any mail that was going to be mailed to him, we have to place on hold until he gets where he is going. He had a whole laundry list of stuff he wanted mailed to him.
He sounds exhausted when I have talked to him. He still hasn't got used to the time change. They are nine hours ahead where he is.
On a brighter note, he did say the chow hall food is pretty good. That is a big plus for him, since he loves to eat!
Just wanted to let everyone know he is fine and will update you as I can!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I can't imagine having to wonder what is happening with a loved one so far away.

I must not have been around when you first posted about your DH, so I don't know how long he's been deployed. But do tell him I thank him for his service and that I'll keep all of you in my prayers until he's home with you again. Please keep us updated, Sew So Happy.

I hope he stays safe. Sucks about the stuff he can't get sent out to him but, hey good food always makes a person feel better.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts. You will never know how much it means to me to hear the positive words from you all. I keep waiting for that quiet normal day to happen and it hasn't happened yet! I am in some kind of funk.
Today, I actually tore my room apart cleaning. I mean the real deep clean like dustboards, windowsills, cleaning drawers out, etc. That left me feeling really good. I need to keep the momentum going and do the rest of the house.

Wow! Look at you go. That offer to come visit us is still open especially since I have an entire house that needs to be cleaned. :p

I would love to go on a road trip, but my daughter does not travel well at all! The year before she was born, when we were at Ft Campbell, I did a road trip with the kids and me all the way to New Hampshire to see my family. We just took our time and enjoyed all the sights and had lots of fun on the way. My husband was out of town on business and flew up there when he was done to drive back with us. I miss those days! I am patiently waiting for her to get a little older.

Oh come on now. I'm not that far away; only about 8 hours maybe. ha

I do pray he will be safe. At least you have your toddler to help pass the time away.

The troops as a whole continue to be a part of my prayer list. I certainly wish him safety. And hugs to you!

Please tell your husband that we do so appreciate his service for his country...for us. We would not enjoy the freedoms we have today if it were not for the selflessness of those in the armed forces. We'll be praying.
