Sadly, I can't promise that I can buy any designs for awhile considering we just paid $200 to tow my husbands car home from work this past Monday because his transmission died. Not the best start to our week and even worse on Tuesday when he got quotes of about $1400 to fix that. Then we have to fix the brakes that also went out. This is not starting to be the best month for us at all. :confused: :( I just wanted to cry.

Anyway, I've seen some other contests where the restrictions were only that sites designs and then others where others could be used but there had to be more of theirs than anyone elses, and we had to be sure we gave credit where the others came from too. Just a thought.

I always get stitcher's block when it comes to contests. Seems like it takes me forever to think of a good idea and when I do, I have to work like crazy to make the deadline, but be assured, if Jamie has a contest, I will try to submit and entry.

That would be fun. I would like try to get something done soon... I too want to buy more designs from this website but I can't afford much! Did you know about the hidden free designs? Maybe you could do something creative with 1 or 2 purchased & some free designs... everyone likes a low-cost project. We all know how addictive embroidery is, finishing a simple project is always motivation to make another!!!

Oh yes I know what a PRIZE he is LOL, but I have too much time invested in training him now to give him away as a prize ;)
We do have a lot of fun together, but sometimes I would like to have a girlfriend to sew with :)

Yeah, I feel the same way about mine although he still has so much to learn. Sometimes I forget what a PRIZE mine is.

I wish I had a girlfriend or two to sew with also. I work with all men and have few few women friends and none of them sew. I do go to an embroidery club when I can, but almost all of them there are retired and they do all their sewing during the day. Most all of them quilt also and that is something I have not learned to do yet, but want to someday.

I would also love to see a contest, but hope we can include lettering from outside this site, and also, if we want to do some stitching with our sewing machine embroidery stitches, so not from a commercial digitizer. Hope that made sense?
