Hobby Lobby has their "Me and My Bag" canvas blanks on sale for 50% off this week. The ad says it includes canvas aprons, caps, bibs, boxes, and bags.
They stitch up beautifully- I've done several, including:

ETA: That's an applique with washable chalkboard fabric...

Regular price for the kids' apron is only $2.50 (or maybe $2.99), so they're a steal at half-off!

If you live near a Hobby Lobby, it would probably be a good idea to get on their email list. They send the upcoming week's sales flyer and usually a coupon to my email every Sunday, and they have a section of fabrics on sale every week. The one near me has beautiful trims and giant rickrack.
I use the email Hobby Lobby coupons all the time and you can print off more than one if necessary.

I went to Hobby Lobby last night and bought some adult aprons and several nice canvas totes that were also 50% off. All of their items from the "Me & Mine" line are 50% off and there are several different fabrics and styles to choose from.

Oh Heather, girl those aprons are too cool! Where do you get that fabric? I didn't know there was such a thing. Oh, and thanks for the heads up on the aprons and other blanks.

Thank you for the info on the online coupons for Hobby Lobby. I did not know Hobby Lobby had coupons so I never shopped there.
Love the aprons. Thanks again for the info!!!

Thanks! It's really cool stuff! I machine washed it on gentle and in a lingerie bag and it did up just fine. (I didn't try drying it in the dryer, though...)
I got it at a Hancock Fabrics. It comes in both green and black and averages about $7 per yard. It came on a huge roll - I'm guessing 72"? So you get TONS on a yard. It used to be available online, but I just searched "chalkboard fabric", "chalkboard", and "chalk" and came up empty handed. You could google "chalkboard fabric" though, and find some other purveyors.
I've also seen people make placemats for kids in restaurants... check out etsy for those. ;)

Thanks! That's a font built into Embird- #8. I use it a lot! It's both kid and adult "friendly". I recently came across it on a font website, but I'm so sorry I don't remember what it was called. If I find it again, I'll report back.
