I must agree with you! I look forward to coming here and "talking" to you all.
By the way, what is in your new picture? I can't tell.

I was going to ask the same thing. I feel like I know you all personally in some way now, and it's really neat to see little snippets of your personalities in these pictures. Maybe I should place one by my own name?
Life really is great. I've lost several friends and acquaintances in the last month, and I was beginning to wonder what in this world is going on! It's nice to come here and "chat" with you all each day. It's like I'm getting my friendly crafty fix each day!:D

It is my antique red eye singer sewing machine, I go crop it and make it a little more visible, then put it back. Hopefully you can see it better then. Yes, you should put a picture.

Okay now I have cropped the picture, hopefully you can see it a little better. It is just one of my displays in my sewing room.

BEAUTIFUL!! I wish I could see all the decals and colors. Was it originally on a treadle base?
I'm ashamed to say that the only displays in my sewing room are areas of disorganization :o But I'm working on it. I know I would be so much more creative and productive if I had pleasant surroundings.

That is what I would love to have in my new sewing room, is displays and pretty things on the walls. I want my sewing room to be somewhere I want to go. Mamaw has a small Singer that has to be around 60 years old. I would love to display that.

Gorgeous sewing machine! My grandmother used to have one similar to that (hmmmm...I wonder where that could be?)

Artsiegirl - I was going to ask YOU the same thing since you added a picture of yourself. Too bad the pictures come out so small, cause it really is fun to see what the people you're chatting with look like. :p
By the way, keep on posting - you're almost to 100!!!

That picture really is way too small and dark. I tried to work on it, but I had to replace it with this one of myself, my husband, and our two boys. Both were taken on a family cruise last year, and I searched through all of my pictures but couldn't find any a whole lot better. Also, I placed it a bit larger on my profile page.
:lollypop: Here I am working on those 100 posts...one lick at a time!

I don't know if I saw the picture you said was too dark or not but you can email that to me if you want to. I have some good photo editing software so I might be able to fix it.
You're almost at the 100 posts finally. :)
I just added a profile picture too of my husband and myself that was taken in late 2005.

Thanks Vicki. I'm fine with this one. It actually shows my whole family instead of just me, and they're much better looking anyway! I sneaked a peek at your profile picture. I love seeing what people look like after I've imagined them in my mind. Noone is ever as I thought they should be! Great picture by the way!

You're welcome and thanks for the comment about mine. :D SO? How did you "imagine" me before the picture?
And if you want me to "fix" any pictures later, just let me know. I'm pretty good at that stuff.

I don't know exactly, it wasn't a really clear picture in my mind...but I imagined long brown hair and glasses for some strange reason. (Maybe the grandma thing?) And you look way too young to be a grandma! Of course, technically, either of my boys could make me a grandma anytime now...but please Lord not yet!:afraid:

LOL You never know when one could make you a grandma.
Actually I do have light brown hair. I just dye it red and I do wear glasses but not all the time. Not long hair though. A few years ago it was longer, but to make it easier to do it all got cut off.

You both look so happy, I love photos like that. My husband is funny about me posting a picture of us, I did do the side profile of us dancing which is two years old. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do the Nana (Grandma) thing, but now I have a beautiful 3 1/2 year old granddaughter and she is the apple of my eye, and she is her Papa's little princess, his sweetheart. Those grandbabies turn us all to jello... again, ain't it great!

Oh, before I forget to answer the question about my machine, it was in a treadle at one time, long before me, it was a friends grandmother's machine. If you want to see what they look like you can go on google, type in Singer Red Eye Sewing Machine photo and there are lots of sights to see what they look like. It is a very nice one but I don't use it, it is just for show, why would I want to when I have a Viking Designer SE Limited and a Viking Platinum 720 sitting right in front of me.

What happened there windwillow? It looked like you were posting your 100th and it said 99 again...am I seeing things? Anyway, congrats on the 100th if that was it.
I loved your picture of you and your husband, but it's neat to see everyone change it up now and again. My husband doesn't know he's on the board now, so we'll all keep it our little secret!:D

I had it, then realized my brain worked faster than my fingers and I forgot some letters, I had to edit so it was understandable (is that a suitable word?)
Hey a really strange thing happened yesterday, I went to our local super market, as I was coming out a lady was crossing the crosswalk. This man in a new car (Temp tag 2 days) kept blowing his horn at her to hurry. She turn around and slugged his car with a hugh purse, the man stopped, got out, at his car, then proceeded to chew her out with some really bad language. She in turn did the same then she slugged him with her purse, so he slapped her, then the fight was on in earnest. Employees got in it to stop them and one girl got hit in the mouth, someone yelled "Call the cops." I went out the side door, put my groceries in the car and drove away. Two police cars, sirens, wailing and lots of lights past me. What a trip to the market, I was dumbfounded to realize that people actually do that.:dong:
Anyway that is my share for the day.;)

Okay this now makes me really nervous to go back to town...the other day my son and I went to WalMart. As we were crossing the pedestrian crosswalk directly in front of the door, a lady drove up, rolled down her window, and began screaming at me that she should have run me over for walking in front of her like that! I calmly told her that it was the pedestrian's right of way there and then the obsenities began in earnest! Honestly, she was very far away from us when we started walking or we would never have crossed in front of her to begin with! It's really scary how people are acting these days!:afraid: And that's my rant for the day.

OMG that sounds like my ex husband. He was a total jerk like that and would go out to the car and then sit in the driveway honking the horn like crazy if we all weren't out there within about 30 seconds of him pulling out of the garage. He did the same in other places too. Andddddddddddd he wonders why I divorced his butt. HA! Good riddence. What's really sad is that my hubby now is THE most patient man in the world and goes out to pull the car from the garage and I tell him I still have to put makeup on and then I still hurry and then apologize for taking so long. He doesn't understand why I worry like that when he has never worried how long it takes me after he gets out there. It's from being married to mr creep who did that type of thing for way too long I guess. You'd think by now I'd stop worrying like that ya know.
Alicia is adorable!

Windwillow, your grand daughter is adorable.
I also like being able to see some of the faces that go with the board names.

It's a beautiful picture! What a lovely family. Did you say you live in Greenville? (I'm getting my board names confused!) My sister lives in Tigerville and attends Taylors 1st Baptist. We visit up that way often as she now cuts (and unfortunately with all my gray) colors my hair. It's a beautiful area.

Thanks, I real proud of all my family, of course we all are proud of our children and hubbys. When the kids were growing up I wondered if I would make it till they were grown, now it is neat to see the adults they have become and how they handle life as it comes.

Well, I live close to Greenville, about 40 mins. away. I'm in Laurens.
The Upstate is a nice area . I'm not sure where Tigerville is, but I have been to Taylors. Is Tifton, GA close to the SC border?

No, Tifton isn't close to the SC border. We are about 1 hour or so from the Florida border, so it's way deep in south Georgia. We are a really small town with about 7 or 8 exits on I-75 (all leading to this quaint little town!) Of course, we are best known as the Reading Capital of the World.

My adult self thinks it's a great place to live and raise children, but my teenage self hated it when I was growing up here. My two teenage sons are like every other young person in a small town...looking for a way out until they find it and then they want to come back home!
