He is doing fine. He will be here for about another week and then he flies back to Iraq. No hurry, though. He said there is a big water rationing going on in Balad. No showers! Yuck! The building is where he sleeps at night.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. We see so much in the media, but we rarely get to see how our troops are living over there. Most of all, I thank you and your husband for your service to our country. :proud: He has an incredibly tough job, I'm sure, but you also must have it really, really tough dealing with everything at home for such lengthy periods of time. Know that we are praying for you and your entire family.

Wow! I am truely grateful for the service that your husband and so many men and women provide for me. Not only them but you and their families as well. It's humbling and helps me to appreciate the small things.

Thanks to your husband for doing his "job" and thanks to you for keeping things going at home. It takes both aspects and never enough thanks are said.

On a lighter note, I make fun of my friend because she buys clothes for for dogs all the time. I have seen many "camel hair coats" but never a camel coat. :-)

It's so great that now the troops can stay in touch with their families. Imagine how it was just 30 yrs ago when there wasn't any internet and cameras like there are now. Wow. It's so hard to be away for any length of time much less knowing your husband is where he is now.

OMG Could you imagine getting an order to make a "coat" like that for a camel and having to embroider it too? :D

Mamaw is always telling me how lucky we are. When Papaw was in WWII, she didn't see him for a couple of years. Can you imagine how often you recieved mail? I have a lot of respect for those military wives! I am blessed that he is able to call often and we can communicate on the internet. I send him pics of the kids on a daily basis. He gets to hear Abby saying new words to him on the phone.

We thank you and your DH for everything you BOTH do. You have a great out look on such a difficult situation. May you always be blessed.

Thanks for sharing. You should be really proud of your husband. :) It's a big sacrifice, but I'm positive that he's making the world a better place.

Your words and photos touch us a lot! I canīt express myself enough.
Brazil is a quite calm place to live, and it is the first time I saw something real, he is really a hero and all his family too.
Here we see every day the news on tv!
I stop in front of tv and watch it like it doesnīt happening, we canīt believe in what we hear and watch!I feel very sad! I hope this end as soon as possible and everyone can come back home and save .Many good words I would like to say to you but I donīt speak english very well , certainly we send you lots of love and the most best wishes of our hearts, because the brazilian people is very friendly.

Much respect to you, Sew So Happy.
Words really can't express the gratitude I and my family have for your husband and the other soldiers for protecting us and our freedoms.
I pray that the Lord would watch over him and strengthen you while you are apart.

I appreciate - more than words can adequately express - your husband, you, and your family for the sacrifices all of you are making for the rest of us and for our country. I will hold you in my prayers each day until he is safely home with you. And thanks for posting updates and pictures - that helps us connect!
