View Full Version : Marathon Thread at sewing show
I went to a showing "convention" at Denver's Merchandise Mart. I have never used Marathon embroidery thread, but the price was too good to pass up. $1.50 - $1.66 for embroidery thread. Rayon was a little cheaper than polyester, but I bought poly anyway. And I got a 22,000 yard spool of white for $11. Since I had only bought embroidery thread at retailers, this seemed like a great deal. I'll let you know if I have any problems with it or if it is truly a deal and steal.

I'm fortunate to live close to one of Marathon Threads warehouses, so I get most of my thread from them. So far, I haven't had any trouble. In fact, on my new machine, I've had more trouble with my sulky thread than any other.

I am so glad you posted this message. I am having fits with Sulky on my new super-duper machine, but it was my favorite on my old machine. Hopefully, I can use my Sulky and get onto using the new stuff. I hate to waste anything, but I hate it more to rethread every four minutes (even though my machine has a computerized automatic threader).

I use Marathon thread as well as Maderia and even some Sulky. So far I have had good luck with all of it. I didn't make it to the craft show this time :(. I love those things, maybe we should make plans to meet for a cup of coffee at the summer show. I live in Northglenn. Terry
