I just purchased a Viking Scandinavia 400 and am new to embroidery. I've been sewing apparel and quilting forever! I don't get lessons from the shop on the machine until mid March and there is so much to learn. I've tried the embroidery designs it came with and I seem to okay with the stabilizer they sold me (heavy tear away) on cotton fabric, but am anxious to learn more. For instance, when researching designs to purchase, I don't know what embroidery design format my machine uses and I don't know where to find that out. I also need to purchase an extra card to copy the designs on to and don't know where to get that either. (The shop isn't carrying Husqvarna items anymore.) Anyone have any suggestions?
