I took my 3 year old to go vote in the IL primary today after school. I explained on the way over that Mommy would get to vote (since only grown-ups can) but she could help.

When we got there, they actually had little kids' ballots - 4x6" cards with the scantron oval to vote for George Washington, Susan B. Anthony, or Abraham Lincoln. :D

We went into the booth, making a big deal about her getting to vote, too. I said, "Who would you like to vote for?" and before I could read her the three choices, she replied, "Pink." (As in the color, not the singer!)

Pink.

I could've peed.

That is adorable! Be sure to write all of these precious memories down...unfortunately I didn't, and I really need some of those cute anecdotes now that mine are 17 and 19 and driving me CRAZY:eek: Tell your DD that I always choose Pink as well (it's my favorite color!)

Awwww! When she grows up and becomes the next president, you can remind her what she voted for back then. Maybe if we get enough women presidents, we will change the party color to PINK!:)

What a wonderful thing for your local voting district to do.
Pink rules our household! :)

Very Cute!!! You could enter that in the Readers Digest or some other family magazine.

How cute. I wasn't sure we were going to get out to vote with all the snow we've gotten since yesterday afternoon. UGH We did but I've certainly seen better roads since we had snow and ice yet didn't see much of the road at all.
