My mil would love those! She bought two old suitcases this summer at a yard sale and doesn't quite know what to do with them. They are the hard leather looking ones. You did a great job! Is it all freehand?

WOW! Those are beautiful! My mom could paint (and did so beautifully!), but I didn't inherit one artistic gene :( I can't even paint walls very well ;)

It is actually done from a pattern ... I am working on the freehand ... I know I can do it ... It is the confidence I need to build up to really get that part of my creativity up and going!!!! I would love some day to make patterns and try to get into some painting or craft magazines!

My children had a "Going to Grandma's" and Grandpa too suitcases.
I can not find them to no avail. Hmmmmmmmm only wish my talents could create them!
But yours are too beautiful to actually use! Very talented!

I have no doubt that you can do your painting freehand, you have a natural talent (you can see it in your painting). Start building that confidence up...you can do it girl. I need a pretty willow tree blowing in the breeze (I have a wall sculpture and would love some willow leaves to paint across my new dresser drawers in my sewing room. Maybe the tree on the cabinet fronts. Please private email me if you would like to design a couple of patterns for me to try to follow. I have a picture of the wall sculpture. if you would like to follow it for a pattern.

WOW! That's awesome. What do you put over top of the painting so it doesn't flake off? Is it something like Mod Podge or Gesso or something similar? I'd be afraid to use that after all that work.
