I thought I would never get through this one! It is made from 2 suede place mats and I put a double pocket on the outside and a double pocket on the inside. The suede was a booger to sew! I got these placemats from Walmart for $.50 each. The handles are recycled from an old coat belt my mil found and thought I might use sometime. Very inexpensive bag!

That bag is beautiful! I'm so impressed you can take something so inexpensive and make it look like a million bucks!

Great bag, I agree to sew suede is a real bear, but the finished product is grand. Very crafty project, just goes to show what you can do with a lot of imagination and the right tools for the project...Simply marvelous!!!

This bag is hot! It would sell for at least $40-60 in a boutique. I have never made a bag or purse out of placemats, but I sure want to now. There are sew many projects stored in my jumbled up ADD brain, I just need to get busy sewing!

Everytime there is a new project posted, I get jumbled up! I want to get started on applique as soon as I finish some orders and then there are the hooded towels.....:)

Wow that looks beautiful. I love the color combo. 4.50 at walmart? i'm guessing clearance.... I love finding good deals too and making things with them.

WOW ~ That's an amazing bag! Great colors~I don't think I'd dare try suede. Sounds like too much trouble.
