How sweet! I love those chef hats and the colors you put together. Is that buttons on the straps?

Very cute. I can't wait to get an alphabet. I can see me putting names on EVERYTHING! What pattern did you use?

That turned out GREAT. Does the chef hat quick to stitch up?

Answering the previous questions:

There are buttons on the straps. I put an extra button hole in the side that really buttons so that the length can be adjusted.

The pattern I took off of another childs apron and then I made adjustments where I needed to. Patterns with all of those instructions that I don't understand scare me a wee bit. :o

The chefs hat does sew up quickly. I've made quite a few and each time it seems to sew up faster than before.

Thanks for your questions and kind comments.

The color combination is great!

May I ask how long you are making them. How far down should they hang on the little ones.

really like the idea of matching towel ...how cute is that!

I'd have to dig out the pattern and measure it to know for sure, but I will say that it hits about mid-thigh on my 5 year old.

No please don't dig it out. You answered my question mid-thigh. I didn't now how long to make it to fit the little ones.

Superb all the way around!!!

I read that you did the apron on your own- no pattern... How about the hat? I'd LOVE to get my hands on an easy chef hat pattern!

Well done! Just adorable!

(And if you have pics, I'd LOVE to see more of your color combos!)

Chef hats really are easy. I found the measurements online somewhere that I can't seem to find now but I made myself a pattern from those measurements. My kids have chef hats that I got somewhere else and so I scrutinized them and figured out how to put them together. I don't know if I could explain it well enough in words to tell you how to do it. If you want measurements PM and I'll find my pattern and measure it for those who want it.
