Here is a Messenger Bag I did for my daughter that will be going to College in the Fall. This bag only cost $1.97 (Reg 24.97) at Old Navy Clearance section about 6 months ago. (sorry.. I cannot find anymore at that price)
Sew4Fun told me about these bags and could not go wrong. So watch those Clearances at Target and other stores for great deals.

Anyway this bag will be great for her LapTop and notebooks for school!

I added the trim on the bottom and flower buttons on the side.

Wow! What a bargain on that bag. It turned out great. You better start looking for more bags since you are going to have your daughter "selling" those at school. LOL

Perfect idea for this design. I've been looking for a good pattern for these messenger bags, but it may be cheaper (and certainly easier) to buy them. Thanks for sharing this...and thanks Jami forallowing Dawn to give us an extra sneak peek!

Perfect! Wow what a buy! I had thought much about looking for bags or purses for embroidery work. You got me thinking more!

Target has the Valentines stuff for 75% off now.

Towels to Embroider and Tablerunners too.

That is a great bargain and you know she will be the only one carrying around that fine bag. At least until her friends find out how she got it and you start getting bombarded with requests.... That is how great business is formed.
