Oh my goodness! That is a great idea! I have some placemats from last year's sale that are a pretty bird's egg blue. These would be perfect for the basket and the designs are just right for a basket! What are you going to come up with next?? :D

Oh, I can't even begin to take credit for those!!! Someone else posted the link on another message board... I just clicked on it and knew some of you here would love to try them!
Your placemats sound ideal for these!! I don't have any on hand that are springy, but I do have some Halloween-y striped ones in the basement... these could be cute Trick-or-Treat bags, too!! (Okay, I'll take partial credit for that idea. ;) )

Girl, now all these ideas are running around in my head! How will I keep everything organized??? The Halloween bags sound really neat, too! I now have no idle hands!

I found other really great patterns on that site. Thanks. And yes, the basket is a cute idea for Jami's designs too.

Thanks so much for the link and ideas, justteachin. I made this little basket for my niece in Africa using Jami's Easter egg designs. We're sending her a care package with several personalized items, and I thought this would be a sweet little container for some of her favorite candies that she can't get over there. I found the placemat at The Dollar Tree for $1...so it's about the least expensive thing I can make! Thanks Again! You ROCK!!!

Thanks for your compliment. My sister and her husband are childrens ministries missionaries in Namibia. They have lived in Angola, Africa and Lisbon, Portugal as well. We have not been able to see this niece grow up as much as we would have liked, but we know they are where they are supposed to be so it makes it somewhat easier. I'm hoping to visit them in Namibia next summer.

I'm sure your sister and family are having some incredible experiences! It's neat that they can do that. I hope you are able to visit them soon. It's fascinating seeing other places and cultures.
