FYI... just thought everyone would like to know that David and Jami are at the sewing expo today! (having sew much fun), wish I was there!

And please send out thoughts and prayers for Vicki... hope she does not mind me telling, but we are Family here ... she is very under the weather. Coughing, aching... chest cold... ect.... her hubby has the same thing!
She says she gets this every year and hopes that it does not get worse that she has to go to the hospital. HANG IN THERE VICKI!!!!!
Please get better!!!!!

Maybe she can crawl out of bed and post a little to let us know how she and her hubby is doing!

Have a Great Day everyone!

Thanks for sharing that with us Dawn. I think it certainly helps to know that others are thinking of you and praying for you when you're down and out.

Get well soon Vicki!:flowers:

Thanks guys! Yes, I really feel like death warmed over. Blech! Yesterday I was sure I was on my way to heading for the hospital with bronchitis or worse. UGH. I've been up from bed since about 2am today when I was unable to lay there sleeping any longer. I've been in my office chair staring at my computer screen like it's blank and I'm waiting for words to appear. LOL It's like I can't focus on anything. I keep falling asleep but thankfully this is the most comfy office chair I've ever had and it's got a very nice movable head rest so I just tilt the chair back, lean my head back and fall sleep off and on.

I'm feeling a little better today thankfully but am still "out of it". I had to call Curt in a little while ago asking him to bring paper towels. I had fallen asleep and had my hand on my coffee cup and tipped it, dumping the entire cup full all over my desk and my lap and there it ran onto the floor. Oops. Thankfully nothing hit my keyboard or mouse. That's what I've been doing though is sitting here one minute reading something and the next I'm sleeping. I guess that's good that I'm getting sleep but it makes me feel really out of it.

It's been an interesting weekend with both of us not feeling good at all. Curt is unlike any man you've ever seen. When he's sick he just lays in bed or on the couch and is happy there. He doesn't whine. He doesn't expect me to do things for him or get things for him or anything. He makes me mad because I WANT to baby him until I got sick, then yea he's on his own no matter what. LOL I had planned on making this yummy chicken soup for him to help him feel better but then I got sick. We've been taking turns on who makes something to eat based on who feels better at that moment. LOL We've also gone through 4 entire boxes of kleenex since Friday.

Anyway, thanks for the thoughts. I hope we are going to feel much better. My son emailed from college saying his cell phone was dead. OH JOY! He said there is a red dot in the battery compartment which means the phone has gotten water in there and it's now trash. No help for it. UGH That also means that Curt and I need to go upgrade my cell phone and then deliver this one down there to college boy which means a 3 hr drive to where he is, a trip over to Verizon there to activate the phone, then the 3 hr trip back home again. Wheeeeeeee just what anyone who's sick wants to do eh? OH well, that's life with kids. Never a dull moment.

I got another email saying our granddaughter also has this same crap we do and is really sick. They've had her checked out and thankfully right now she's clear of anything worse then what we have. This stuff going around is very bad and in more baby's than not, it's progressing into RSV so hopefully she'll feel better soon. :( We can't even go visit since we're so sick and they don't need us around so my son and DIL(future) can catch it from us too.

I'll stop rambling now. :D

Vicki, hope you feel better very soon! Take care of yourself and rest. This time last year I let an upper respirtory infect./bronchitis turn into pneumonia. We're all fighting this same yucky mess again this year, but please know that you and your husband will be lifted up in prayer. Rest, rest, rest.

Hey Vicki,
May lots of sunshine, warm weather, thoughts, smiles and good health come your way. You both are so great for each other and hopefully you both will be back to your good self soon. Sounds as if your Curt is like my Phil...when he doesn't feel well it is leave me alone, I'll do it myself, don't worry about me. Please be careful being up too much yet...usually I get lightheaded and fall (BE CAREFUL). Get lots of rest, chicken noodle soup, OJ, and maybe a good book to read. Hope you and yours feel better soon. Is there anything your internet family can do to help you?

Dawn, thanks for sharing with us, let us know how Jamie and Craig enjoy the expo. What you didn't say is how are you and yours, hope all is well.

Thanks for asking Windwillow....

I am busy with everything, work, sewing, ect....

Last night I was in my sewing room, Hubby was playing Guitar Hero-(Playstation) and one of my girls was doing homework and noticed that we had a BIG puddle in the kitchen. Find out (we thought it was the ref.) but it was the dishwasher.... went downstairs to get a couple of fans and WOW... water was coming through the ceiling into my hubby's office. ON HIS DESK.... on the bills, computer, floor... in my laundry room on top of Rubbermaid containers... Clean up time... oh well.
Hubby is steam cleaning the carpets right as I am typing this.
He has a steam at work that he took home.

Last Nov we came home from Florida and our electric was out for 2 days.
Lost everything but out BEEF in our freezer and the freezer/ref upstairs thawed and meat juices ran into the carpet at that time too. It was 42degrees in the house and when it finally warmed up (hot water heating) the carpet STUNK!!!!!

My hubby says NOW we are going to get our wood Lamitate floors I always wanted!!!! YEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is all MINOR!!!!! but this carpet is jinks!!!!

We are all heathy... just busy!

Thanks for asking!

Hello Vicki, :ciao: I am praying for you and your family. Know that you are being thought of and prayed for.
I work in a Doctor's office and everyone is getting that nasty bug. :willy: We have sent many people to the hospital because of it. Two of our area hospitals have been at full capacity several times during the past two weeks becaues of this bug.
Take care,
Becca

Thank you for the thoughts everyone. I THINK I might be getting better but I really am not sure. I'm fighting with myself about going to the doc or not. I can't decide and if I don't go today then I won't be able to see my doc until next Sat a week from now OR to the ER or after hours clinic. This is some nasty stuff though. That I do know. NASTY!

It is nasty stuff. I had it back in January. I was down for almost a month, bronchitis, strep throat, sinus infection. Two trips to the doctor (antibotics, inhaler, powerful cough syrup). I slept most of that time in the recliner because everytime I laid down I couldn't stop coughing. I don't think I'm totally over it yet, as I still have a lot of congestion. Course right now it's hard to tell because we've got a lot of pollen around now, so I'm think a lot of it now is my allergies.

Vicki, hoping you're feeling better soon. I wouldn't wait too long to get to the doctor.

I used to get this exact same thing every single year. For some reason though for about the last 3-4 yrs I've been lucky. NOT this year though and I think all the missed years are hitting me all at once. This year kicked my butt and no, I am still not much better. I also have not gone to the doctor yet. I thought I was getting better so I didn't call for an appt. but then by evening I was feeling like dying again and then the same thing all over again the next day.

I haven't died yet so that's a plus, right?

The nasty stuff sure is going around. My boss' granddaugter has been battling the Flu B since Dec. and it's really bad. In and out of the hospital. You don't want that! She is only 5 yrs. old. So everyone keep those hands washed and the kiddies too!

I've been reading about this crud. In smaller babies/children they are seeing a very high number of them where it's turning into RSV which is scary in a small baby/child. I'm hoping that my granddaughter won't be one of those because she's sick with this too from what I've heard.:( She's nearing 7 months old now and her immune system isn't strong enough for this nasty bug.

Vicki,
I'm sure I speak for a lot of us, when we say "Try not to worry before it is necessary because it will just make you feel worse". Our prayers and wishes are with you and yours, so you gals and guys get better and "don't build the bridge before you see the water" it might not be the case then the worry was for naught and worse on you than your granddaughter. Smile, today is a new day and it is another step towards feeling better.

Thanks. And I'm almost afraid to type this BUT, I finally woke up today without being woken by coughing/gagging and not breathing. Cautiously opptimisitic that maybe that's a good sign. I still woke up at 2:45am but at least I could breathe. LOL

Yes, we're doing A LOT better than we have been. He's gone to work today for the first time in a week and I'm actually able to breathe today too. I still sound terrible and barely have a voice so I know it's not totally gone yet. Hopefully soon. At least I feel a live today.
