Default SO!!!!!!!!!! Spoiled......

My doorbell just rang a little while ago and you will never guess what I found outside that door waiting for me.

My awesome husband surprised me with THIS!!! <--- Click me

I am thrilled and shocked too. Now I will be off cleaning my cutting table all over again to make room so I can open it up and start playing with it.

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! Yes, you are indeed spoiled! I'm so happy for you, Vicki. I was glancing through some sites last night and saw that being used a lot. I was going to check it out at Quilt Market. Somehow I have a feeling this won't sit in the box unused for as long as the iron did. Please give us a review of it after you've used it a bit.

Yes Dawn ~ he's a keeper I think.

Jami ~ ummmmm so far it's still in the box. I had one heck of a time even getting it into the house and up into our kitchen considering I'm lucky to get up the small fight of stairs without something in my hands because of my horrible knees. But then carrying this? OMG THIS thing is heavy!!!!!! Once it got into the kitchen I got it onto the counter where it sat for about an hour. I had nowhere on my sewing table to put it but I cleared a small area so far so I did bring it into the sewing room so it's a little closer. STILL not opened up yet though because I have to finish clearing a spot on my table which means I have to clean my other table too since they're both a huge mess from all the stuff we've been picking up.

OH and a hint too for anyone that has been thinking about buying those big handles you put onto your bigger rulers. The handles have suction cup bottoms and are supposed to give more stability for you when cutting fabric with your ruler and the handles come in a few different sizes but the larger one costs almost $25. Last trip we made to Aldi's grocery store in the discount bin I found one of those suction cup bottom handles you use for the shower so you can have a handle anywhere you want in the bath/shower and it was marked down to $4.99 but they look just like the handles being sold to the sewing world for $25! So if you have an Aldi store nearby go check their discounted area to see if they might have them in your store too if you've wanted one of those handles. In case you are totally lost, this is the item I'm talking about.

ETA: OOPs the price there isn't as much as those I saw at the Expo

Woo Hoo Vicki!! What a wonderful surprise!

I have one of those suction handles, I got it from Target (I think) to use in the guest bathroom shower, I think it was around $10. But my husband bought the single handle suction cup at Harbor Freight (a tool wonderworld) for $1.99!! Good thing he bought two, because one lives in my sewing room!

Thanks Katie. Sorry I didn't answer until now. Yesterday I had more tests which are starting to feel as a neverending thing at this point to figure out why I had that vertigo spell and still some problems since then. And then another checkup after the surgery on my right hand done in November which I am still having problems with as well as problems with the same surgery done Feb 2010 on my left hand. I am SO over doctors about now. I just want to run away. At least yesterday I FINALLY may have gotten a diagnosis and hopefully a 'fix' that will make this go away but I won't know for about a week and if not, then I have to go back and have this treatment again. If that doesn't help then we have to go back to have a more extensive test.

Anyway, it sounds like you got a good deal on those gadgets too. I'll have to go with hubby next time he runs to Harbor Freight and see if I can spot something like that in our store. I love snooping around in stores like that though because there are so many things we can use in our sewing rooms that are SO much cheaper there than buying from the fabric stores. It's just like shopping for wedding stuff ~ you NEVER tell them you are planning a wedding when asking about things because then the price automatically triples.
